About Me

Little Wonders is a wonderful learning center located right here in Missouri City. This is where talent, imagination and professional skills are being dedicated to the teaching of our young children. We understand that children learn differently. Through observation and listening, we encourage each individual's unique learning styles; while focusing on their physical, educational and emotional needs. All of our teachers are professionally qualified with combined expertise in education, speech & hearing therapy, bilingual education and English as a Second Language. With a low student-teacher ratio, we provide your child with the attention they need. Little Wonders Learning Center is located at the corner of Lexington Blvd. and Dulles Ave. In this center, you will find a number of warm, loving teachers committed to putting children first. This isn't your ordinary day care facility.

Fall Festival Fun!

These children made "one big letter U" and "a house with people in it".
When we asked what the people were doing, they said, "they are at the fall festival having fun!"

They all worked together to make a sign for the "people at the party". Here is the sign, it reads......
"Fall Festival Fun"!

Our Names

We have started using play dough to help us with our spelling! Lately we look at different letters and we all try to make the letters out of play dough.

We started spelling our names out of the play dough and comparing to see who has the same letters in his/her name.

What a great job we did!

Nature Inspired

Thanks to Dimitrios and his mom, we have had some beautiful pieces of nature in our class.

We are using them for still art. We look at the shapes we see in the persimmons, we count them, we talk about the shades of the colors, and then we make our art.............
This piece was done by Trevor, using water colors.............. This piece was made by Ella, using water colors...........................
We also have a pink plate full of gourds, we used the same approach to create art pieces.

Ashley cut out a big piece of pink paper for the plate, and then drew each gourd, painted them, and then glued them on the plate to make her art piece.................

Jae drew everything in pencil, and then used water color to paint his picture................ Faraz used markers to make his plate of gourds..............
Beautiful, aren't they?????

A Visit From The Fire Department!

The fire men from the Missouri City Fire Department came to pay us a visit! We learned about fire safety and 911...............

We learned how to stop, drop, and roll..............

We watched a fire man put on all of his gear...............

We came and gave him a high five, because we were not scared of him in the mask..............

Then, we went outside to look at the fire truck! We got to see all of the tools they have to help save people, and we asked them lots of questions.................

Right before they left, they turned on all of the lights on the fire truck for us to see!!!!

"Inside" the Costume!

From the outside we see the costume, but take a look at some of the hard work that is going into making them

For every step, the children are writing down what they need and how many. This is sharpening up our counting, addition, spelling, and writing skills.........

We take what we have written about and we work together to put our costumes together!

The final product is starting to look SO beautiful!
Ella finished her dragonfly eyes!

Jae is one of the "Bumble Bee Brothers"! He is ready to buzzzzzz around the room!

How Many Are There?

We have been sharpening up our math skills! We like to build together, count, and then see who has the most!

"Project Runway" or Fall Festival?

We are so busy measuring, cutting, sewing, and designing! The costumes are well underway, and looking fabulous!
Some of us like our costumes SO much that we don't ever want to take them off ;0)
