We understand that children learn differently. Through observation and listening, we encourage each individual's unique learning styles; while focusing on their physical, educational and emotional needs. All of our teachers are professionally qualified with combined expertise in education, speech & hearing therapy, bilingual education and English as a Second Language. With a low student-teacher ratio, we provide your child with the attention they need. Little Wonders Learning Center is located at the corner of Lexington Blvd. and Dulles Ave. In this center, you will find a number of warm, loving teachers committed to putting children first. This isn't your ordinary day care facility.

A Surprise Visitor!

We have such a great snake project going on, that we thought it was the perfect time for a surprise visitor!!!  Hmm......what could be inside the bag????
WOW!  A real, live snake!  Thanks to Kyle's mom, we found someone with a snake!  We got to listen about how the snake eats only once a week!  Wow, we have to eat everyday, but not the snake ;0)  And did you know that the snake uses his tongue to smell!!  And snakes lay eggs!  We learned so much from our visitor!
The children asked so many questions, some of them were:

Where do you get the mice?  The pet store.
What kind of snake is it?  A corn snake.
Does he bite?  No, he is a nice snake.

We found out the snake was 4ft 8inches!
But the best part was touching the snake!
We loved how the snake used his funny tongue to smell us, while we touched him!
Some of us were EXTRA BRAVE!!!!!
We loved the snakes red eyes, and pretty orange skin!  We looked at the patternn of circles on the skin and saw the "circle, shaped scales"!
We have already started making drawings to remember the beautiful snake we saw today!
