Little Wonders is a wonderful learning center located right here in Missouri City. This is where talent, imagination and professional skills are being dedicated to the teaching of our young children. We understand that children learn differently. Through observation and listening, we encourage each individual's unique learning styles; while focusing on their physical, educational and emotional needs. All of our teachers are professionally qualified with combined expertise in education, speech & hearing therapy, bilingual education and English as a Second Language. With a low student-teacher ratio, we provide your child with the attention they need. Little Wonders Learning Center is located at the corner of Lexington Blvd. and Dulles Ave. In this center, you will find a number of warm, loving teachers committed to putting children first. This isn't your ordinary day care facility.

A Project Tour

It seems that lately we have several projects going on in the room rather than one or two that the whole class is participating in.   Here is a tour of the projects that are going on right now.......
Kylie made this and said it was "Hopscotch!"This lead us to making a sign for hopscotch outside.....
practicing writing our numbers, and having our friends help us write the ones we needed help with.......
And, of course, playing hopscotch!!!!!
We are still hooked on superheroes, so we often sit down to draw them, write their names, and talk about their powers.......
Trevor is the author and illustrator of a new "Wonderland Book" named "How to Train a Dragon".  He is creating a dragon out of wire, tape, and paper for the release of his new book.  It should be on the book shelf soon!!!!!!
We all love using the over head projector.
Luke uses it to help his math skills!  He counts how many colors he uses and we practice writing his numbers.....
Some of the children use it to spell their names and other words they are learning......
One of our favorites happened when Noah and Joshua put the glass beads on it to create "The Planets!"
We had so much fun looking at it on the wall and talking about the different planets.  Alexandre is actually working on a "Wonderland Book" about the planets, this should be on the book shelf soon!
Sam and many of the other children in the class are making books.  We loved the story of the rainbow zebra, that it is inspiring us to make a library of our own books.  All of the "Wonderland Books" are read at story time and we seem to like them more than the other books we have in the room!
We are well underway with our spring gardening, and the children are drawing the plants they bring in, making signs for the vegetables, and drawing maps of the garden.  Stay tuned for a post on all of the project work with the garden.
We are really connecting with our creative side and making art with many different materials...........
Here Hendrix made this shade of brown to represent "the creek" in his back yard.  When he was finished painting, he glued some snakes he made out of clay onto the creek.
We are amazed by Tirza's work on this "Rainbow House."  She started painting these wooden pieces.  She put faces on them and started working on the house......
She is putting in so much time on this project, and she is really adding so much detail..........
We are excited to see where she goes with this.

It has already inspired Ashley to make a house of her own..........
The boys are well underway with "Super Hero City."  We are making notes of the descriptions they give us about the city, and we can't wait to see the work they do with this project........
Please feel free to ask us about any of these projects and we will show you more of them in the class.
